What to expect
Worth the trip, even if you buy nothing
A 50mm sample in a shop window tells you nothing about how a floor will look down your hallway. Here you can see full-size boards, under proper lighting, laid flat.
- Bring a paint chart, a kitchen door, or just a photo of the room.
- Take samples home to check them in your own light before deciding.
- Parking directly outside on Cross Street.
- You will be talking to a fitter, not a commission-only salesman.

The free home measure
Rooms are rarely square and floors are rarely level. Measuring properly is the difference between a quote you can rely on and a number that moves once work starts.
We check the sub-floor, take moisture readings where it matters, look at how the doors swing and where the thresholds land, and talk through underfloor heating if you have it. Then you get a written price covering materials, preparation, fitting, beading and taking the waste away.
